Ondo SUBEB Sensitizes Head Teachers on Ebola VirusPosted: 10 years ago |
As part of its efforts in ensuring that the Ebola virus does not spread to Ondo State, the management of Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board ( SUBEB) has embarked on sensitising its head teachers. Speaking at a meeting held with some Public Primary Head Teachers in Akure to review last session activities in schools and prepare for the incoming session, the Chairman of SUBEB, Otunba Ade Adeniyi who used the meeting to sensitise head teachers on the latest Ebola Virus in the country, called on the teachers to ensure that school environment is clean at all times and informed them to keep proper hygiene. The SUBEB boss also stated that any sick pupil should be quickly taken to hospital for proper medical attention. She also urged them to ensure that pupils wash their hands properly and regularly in their various schools so that it will prevent the Ebola virus in the school. In the same vein, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Moji Ajayi, also informed the head teachers to keep to due process in dealing with Ministry of Education and SUBEB, saying that if there is any reason to deal with the ministry of education, they must pass through the Board. Speaking on behalf of the head teachers, Mr.Olawoye Akinrinsola promised that they will abide by all the recommendations and suggestions made to ensure that the deadly Ebola Virus will not get to Ondo State. |
