Leadership is the number one driver of public sector performance improvement. In today?s public sector environment we need our leaders to have more than just an ability to manage their organisation. Public sector leaders should also exhibit the ability to lead, deliver results and to network with international organisations in order to learn from other established public and private sector organisations across the advanced democratic countries. Because change in pubic sector is inevitable, leaders clinging to old ways of leadership and management will not continue to prosper for long. Unfortunately, people and organizations change slowly, usually with great resistance and often with considerable pain.
