Often HR practitioners are requested to draft policies without guidance or training on how to ensure that a policy is feasible and implementable. Poorly written policies can be difficult to understand, interpret and implement. Apart from the difficulty in measuring the success of such a policy, it may also expose the organisation to unintended repercussions. The art of effective policy development ensures that the drafter has an understanding of how policies affect the success of the organisation especially with regard to the relevant legislative framework and cost implications of such policies. This course enables the drafter to decide on a framework for policies, producing consistency and quality in terms of luggage and format.
