Sound financial management is critical to the long-term operation of modern private schools. Fees/Income growth, profit margins, expanding student lists and increases in headcount are all important measures of a school’s performance, but without cash, growth is near impossible. Hence, the best indicator of a school’s chance to succeed over the long-term is its ability to generate and hold onto cash. Unfortunately, many school owners fail to take a proactive approach when it comes to managing their cash flow; and usually, this lead them to operational goals failure and inability to sustain growth. Therefore, school owners and administrators need fundamental understanding of budgeting and cash flow management. This is the rationale for this course.
