The global business environment is undergoing constant change. Only organizations that change with the tide can survive. Corporate restructuring is a recurring trend. Organizations must retain knowledge (data and information) even when staff leave the organization. Knowledge is a critical component of an organization’s intangible assets. Current emphasis is on building the knowledge-based organization. In order for the management and employees of the organization to be most effective, they must have access to the necessary information for decision making. Knowledge-based organizations are able to generate value from their intellectual and knowledge-based assets. This they do by codifying what employees, customers and partners know, and sharing that information with all other employees, departments and even other organizations in an effort to devise best practices and increased productivity. The workshop is designed to equip participants with requisite skills and capabilities to create a knowledge-based organization with a view to facilitating the realization of the corporate goals of the organization.
