PowerPoint is a presentation software programme that is part of the Microsoft Office package. It is the number one programme used worldwide for presentations in business and classrooms and is an effective tool when used for training purposes and marketing.
Because PowerPoint uses a graphical approach to presentations in the form of slide shows that accompany the oral delivery of the topic, participants need to learn to use the various tools and commands for adding and manipulating text and images to achieve a stunning and captive presentation. As a complement to brand visual communication, participants will also need to learn to develop customized themes and templates for corporate presentations so as to bring differentiation and standardization to their brand visuals.

However, the software is merely a tool and because the purpose of a presentation is to present information - not overwhelm the audience with a demonstration of all the software bells and whistles, using PowerPoint or any other presentation package must be with a mindset to avoid the typical pitfalls of poor presentation skills.

Participants can expect to learn how to:

  •     Create professional looking PowerPoint slides
  •     Add creative effects to text, objects and images
  •     Create smart art graphics for graphs and bulleted lists
  •     Use relational presentation: the visually interactive side of PowerPoint
  •     Integrate dynamic transitions, animations, videos and audio files into presentations
  •     Develop themes and templates for PowerPoint presentations
  •     Learn to present with confidence and professionalism using PowerPoint
