The Public Service in Nigeria has emerged over the years as the most critical and crucial part of national development and democratic stability. Recently, reforms have been introduced to make the service more efficient and responsive to the public, in order to improve on work ethics, customer service and value delivery in the Service. Policy reform is often a confusing and an uncertain time for staff, with a resultant effect on effectiveness. So, it is neither a one- person job nor an easy ride. It requires diligence, patience, persistence, and hard work. Helping employees adjust to change is an important task for senior personnel. This course presents techniques that can help senior personnel find ways of enhancing the acceptance of policy reforms and to get employees to take ownership of the reforms. A carefully articulated change management framework and process will help increase staff support for the initiative and accelerate the successful transition to new strategic focus. The workshop is organized to equip participants with the required skills to strengthen corporate governance system for the attainment of overall goals.
