This course prepares delegates to offer proof of their environmental management credentials anywhere in the world with the NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management.
The NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management is accepted by The Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) as meeting the requirements for Technician Membership (TechCIWEM).
The qualification focuses on environmental management systems and impact assessments. Research shows that around two thirds of health and safety management positions at work also feature responsibility for environmental management. It can, therefore, be useful combining one of our health and safety qualifications with the NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate.

Managers, supervisors and employees based anywhere in the world who have responsibility for managing environment issues as a part of their day-to-day duties.
This course covers the practical issues of managing environmental risk, taking a risk-management approach based on best-practices and international industry standards, including:
- Environmental management systems and impact assessments
- Sources and use of energy and energy efficiency
- Control of pollution
- Planning for and dealing with environmental emergencies
The NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management consists of two units, each separately assessed:
- Management and control of environmental hazards (EC1)
- Environmental practical application (EC2)
