Self-direction and personal initiative refer to peoples' ability to be self-motivating and pro-active in the pursuit of their life and career goals. When working with others, they are open to new experiences and able to solve problems by leveraging on the knowledge of other people whom they gladly ask for advice. This practical and interactive seminar will improve participants' verbal and non-verbal communication in a business environment. They will learn how to persuade others to their point of view in pitching, marketing or proposal defence scenarios, relying on Aristotle's tripod of Ethos, Pathos and Logos and the 2000-year-old superior 5-Part Greek Presentation structure.
There will be video recordings of participants' presentation and in-class group feedback on their efforts.
Survey will be administered to participants online prior to the start of the Seminar. Other areas to be covered in the seminar include:
- Self-directed Development
- Organisational Cultural Intelligence
- Effective Problem Solving
- Effective Time Management
- Effective Communication
Team leaders and middle to senior-level functional managers in both private and public sector organisations.
Anyone who needs to be better organised and work better with other people to achieve set targets.
