It has been said that accounting is the language of business. Accounting provides financial systems and tools for recording and analysis of financial transactions and assets management. It also provides information for planning, decision making, control and evaluation. For accounting to provide the desired value and contribute to organizational success, organizations must develop financial systems that are best suited to their circumstances. Accountants and financial managers need appropriate skills and competence to develop, install and review, where necessary, the financial systems of their organizations. This programme has been designed to provide the basic skills and competence in designing acceptable accounting systems for organizations.
