The dwindling oil revenue in the global market has made world economies to fall back on taxation which is a sustainable source of revenue.
This has resulted in, amongst other efforts, the project on Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) action plans with significant implications for tax administration and global tax compliance.
The aftermath of this is increasing efforts and reforms to block leakage of tax revenue and minimise the erosion of tax base.
The 2016 MCPE topics focus on recent developments and changes in the global tax landscape and how these impact the approach of tax authorities to administer taxes in Nigeria.
