Organizations invest in training and development as a means of improving knowledge, skills, attitudes and the capability of their workforce. The country currently contends with poor standards of management training. Many of those performing training functions do not have the competence and skills to do so. The result is that the objectives of training are often not achieved.
Those who have responsibility for training need more than good education and expertise in specific subject areas. They need to understand how people learn and should have the capability to identify needs, design and implement training programmes.
This programme is designed as a train-the-trainers’ workshop to enable participants to acquire professionalism in training. Attendance at this workshop also serves as one of the prerequisites for accreditation as a management trainer in Nigeria.
