NEBOSH International General Certificate Training

NEBOSH International General Certificate Training in Occupational Health and Safety is a globally recognized qualification offered by NEBOSH, an established independent UK Examination Board with over 25 years experience in providing health and safety awards in the UK and across the world including the Middle East, the West Indies and Southeast Asia.

NEBOSH International General Certificate is designed for Managers, supervisors and employees who require a broad knowledge and understanding of health and safety principles and practices. The qualification focuses on international standards and management systems, enabling candidates to effectively discharge workplace health and safety responsibilities in any employment sector, in all parts of the world.

The NEBOSH International General Certificate is also suitable for those embarking on a career in health and safety, providing a sound basis for progression on to the NEBOSH International Diploma. The International General Certificate qualification meets the academic requirements for Technician Membership (Tech IOSH) of Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and Associate membership (AIIRSM) of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).

Unit IGC2: Control of International Workplace Hazards Workplace Hazards and Risk Control Transport Hazards and Risk Control Musculoskeletal Hazards and Risk Control Work Equipment Hazards and Risk Control Electrical Safety Fire Safety Chemical and Biological Health Hazards and Risk Control Physical and Psychological Health Hazards and Risk Control  

Unit IGC3: International health and Safety Practical Application    

Pre-requisite: None.

However candidates should have knowledge of health and safety equivalent to that provided by NEBOSH HSW. NEBOSH recommends that candidates undertaking this qualification should reach a minimum standard of English equivalent to an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0 or higher in IELTS tests in order to be accepted onto an International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety programme.
