Project and Asset Management Workshop

The 3-day Project Management course will provide essential tools and techniques for scoping, planning and successfully delivering projects.  The course will provide an awareness/overview as well as the latest information on a complete project cycle from business case to handover. It will explore how to break down projects into manageable chunks of tasks (WBS). Participants will also learn how to monitor project programmes, assess and manage risks.

The 2-day Asset Management and Maintenance course will provide an insight to asset management. It is a very simple but informative study of the management of physical assets.  An overview of PAS55/ISO55000 is also covered. ISO 55000 provides an overview of the subject of asset management and the standard terms and definitions to be used. In addition, participants will understand the importance of asset data, information and knowledge as key enablers within an organisation. Participants will develop directly applicable skills through practical engagement of the most widely applied methods.

• Know what makes a good Project Initiation Document (PID)

• Learn how to assess and manage risk
• Understand what a project audit is
• Project Planning
• To be able to appreciate the importance of Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules
• To gain an understanding of the basic principles and fundamental techniques of Reliability Centred Maintenance, Root Cause Analysis and Failure Management Strategies.
• To understand the need to increase asset life, prevent and predict asset failures and lower the total cost of maintenance
• To understand the importance of Computerised Maintenance in terms of asset data, information and knowledge as key enablers within an organisation. 

There will be experiential visit/ excursion to one of the most well planned and executed project sites in UK
