In order for our work on governance and accountability to have legitimacy, we must first demonstrate good governance and accountability within our organization’s own programs and operations Good governance requires that citizens monitor power-holders and that power-holders evaluate whether their systems and practices produce the intended positive impact on citizens’ lives.
The Monitoring and Evaluation program aims to strengthen capacity in management, monitoring and evaluation. It’s a response to government’s demand for personnel who can accurately measure outputs and outcomes of its interventions as a way of enhancing evidence-based decision-making.
The course is the meant for Government officials and Development advisors involved in the design, implementation, management and oversight of national and sector plans, budgets, programs and projects.

By the end of the M and E for Governance course participants will be able to:
