By: Centre for Management Development (CMD)
Lagos State, Nigeria
Aug 06 - 10 Aug, 2012
Teaching is recognized as a challenging, complex, ever-changing and evolving profession that places context-specific demands on its practitioners. In addition to teaching, teachers are expected to be administrators, counsellors, negotiators, mentors, social scientists, and so on. It becomes apparent not to rely on initial teacher-training to equip teachers to meet the many and varied demands placed on them. Across the world today, the young learners/pupils are faster in learning than their age-groups in the past. Teachers are therefore expected to update and upgrade their skills constantly to proactively meet with the rapidly changing technological advances, using ICT proficiently to support student learning outcomes for better teaching and learning processes. This workshop is designed to improve teachers? skills in modern teaching methods, techniques and classroom management.
