The complexity of the Nigerian economy requires a clear understanding of systematic and scientific methods to analyze it. One of the scientific ways is building models to represent the structure of the economy. A model can be configured as an abstraction from real-life experience to explain given circumstances. This workshop will afford participants the opportunity to be familiar with the rudiments of macroeconometric model building with computer application for effective policy analysis and decision making. It will serve as a channel for an effective and balanced communication between indigenous policy makers and international bodies through models of policy linkages and best practices.
