Data analysis and decision making are crucial in the conduct of research. If the data generated are not well presented and analyzed with the right statistical tools, reliable findings and conclusions would not be made. Also, if the hypotheses formulated are not tested with the right statistical methods, wrong conclusions may be made. Proper analysis is, therefore, necessary for the researcher to provide objective answers to research questions and hypotheses. Data analysis and decision making pose significant challenges in an environment where research culture and practice have been neglected for too long. Some researchers have not been exposed to statistical methods and computer application packages required for data analysis and decision making. The workshop is designed to ensure that data generated by researchers are well treated, made useful to management and stored away for future use.
