Welcome to another edition of the NST Weekly Learning & Development Digest.
Every week presents fresh opportunities to learn, improve and make meaningful progress. This week began on a particularly challenging note. When we resumed work on Monday, we discovered that one of our critical services had crashed over the weekend, resulting in the loss of materials and content published on Friday, including our Weekly L&D Digest and this week's upcoming training courses. Although the issue was eventually resolved, reposting the content at that stage would have defeated its purpose. If you were looking forward to those updates, we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience.
Rather than dwell on the setback, we chose to see it for what it was - an opportunity to learn, improve and become more resilient. Every challenge carries a lesson for those willing to look beyond the immediate inconvenience.
What challenge presented a learning opportunity for you this week?
Throughout the week, our focus remained on the same timeless truth we embraced last week: Positive Attitude Precedes Success. Skills, experience and knowledge are undeniably important, but it is our attitude that determines how effectively we respond to challenges, seize opportunities and ultimately achieve success.
Here's a recap of the valuable insights and learning resources we shared this week.
This Week on Nigerian Seminars and Trainings
This week we encouraged professionals to recognise that success begins with the right mindset and is sustained through deliberate action.
Among the highlights were:
- Success Is Built on Learning, Not Luck - Why successful people intentionally study and replicate what works.
- The Power of Positive Decisions - Every meaningful transformation starts with a conscious decision to begin or stop something.
- Half-Year Performance Review - Lessons from our platform performance analysis and what consistent visibility means for training providers.
- Supporting Nigerian Seminars and Trainings - Our appeal to HR professionals and Learning & Development practitioners to help strengthen Nigeria's learning ecosystem.
- Continuous Learning Opportunities – Fresh management training programmes now available for July 2026.
Quote of the Week
"Every positive change in your life begins with a clear, unequivocal decision that you are going to either do something or stop doing something."
- Brian Tracy
Success rarely happens by accident. Every promotion, improved relationship, healthier lifestyle or thriving business begins with a decision followed by consistent action.

Nigeria Learning and Development Industry Round-Up
As organisations continue implementing their second-half business strategies, the focus on learning and development is becoming even more pronounced. Across both the public and private sectors, organisations are investing in programmes that improve leadership effectiveness, digital capability, project execution, regulatory compliance, customer experience and operational excellence.
At the same time, professionals are increasingly recognising that continuous learning is no longer just a career advantage - it is a necessity for remaining relevant in a rapidly evolving workplace. Employers are placing greater value on individuals who demonstrate a commitment to self-development, adaptability and lifelong learning.
The message is clear: organisations that invest in developing their people strengthen their competitive advantage, while professionals who continuously upgrade their knowledge and skills position themselves for greater responsibilities, new opportunities and long-term career success.
Learning remains one of the most valuable investments anyone can make - for individuals, organisations and the nation's economy alike.
