Environmental issues have become top priorities in national, sub-regional, regional, and global agenda in the realization of the importance and benefits of environmental protection for sustainable development. Industrialization, improved technology, and economic growth have considerably impacted positively on man’s quality of life and regardless of the progress, the world continues on unsustainable pathways, this has however not been without its untoward consequences on our environment.  The training course discusses some directions for the future to ensure that entire content of the ESHIA are religiously implemented, review the existing ESHIA acts, and increase the expertise of ESHIA practitioners and consultants.
