This Fundamentals of Internal Audit and Audit Report course is cleverly designed in a way to enable full recognition and assimilation of the main International Professional Practices Framework, tools and processes of Internal Audit function. It aims at educating and coaching the fundamental components of Internal Audit from all aspects and its know-how.  This course provides an introduction to the fundamentals of internal auditing and the audit reporting process. Participants will learn about the role and responsibilities of internal auditors, internal audit standards, performing audit procedures, gathering evidence, documentation, communication and reporting.

By the end of this 5 days course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the value proposition that stakeholders expect from the internal audit function.
  • Recognize the role of The IIA in the internal audit profession.
  • Recognize the various career opportunities in the internal audit field
  • Describe the structure and core elements of the International Professional Practices Framework.
  • Identify some of the frameworks used in the practice of internal auditing.
  • Obtain a basic understanding of the internal audit process.
  • Understand the elements that should be included in internal audit reports and recommendations
  • Communicate audit findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively to management
  • Discuss the follow up process to validate that audit recommendations are implemented
