A security guards’ role is to maintain order at a set location and provide a visible, prominent and reassuring presence to a companies or organization employees and members of the public. They can be employed and based in any location where there is a need for a secure atmosphere and environment. Without the requisite skills security guards will underperform and this will subsequently affect the operations of the organization negatively.

Through this program, participants will have basic knowledge and capability to detect and discern potential criminals and other incidental crimes through an industry wide approach promoting a robust environment of prevention and deterrence.

At the end of the 5-day training participants will be able to:

• Define who is a Security Guard
• Roles of Security Guards
• Improve observation, detection and reporting skills
• Provide and improve skills in working with advanced security technology including surveillance and access control procedures.
• Improve coordination with local police, civil defence, fire and emergency services
• Be able to proactively provide protection of individuals and properties from theft and harm
• Know when and how not to jeopardize the lives of people under your guard.
