Program overview:

Defensive driving is about driving to save lives, time, and money, regardless of the conditions around the driver and the actions of others. This program, “Defensive Driving Course (DDC)”, is specially designed for drivers who already know how to drive. It is designed to sharpen their driving skills, preventing collisions and lessening their severity, thereby avoiding the tragic costs in human life, misery, and financial expenses that motor accidents incur.

Learning objectives:

At the end of the program, participants will be able to:

• identify the three basic ideas that form the foundation of the defensive driving course and the ideology behind them.
• to apply the (DDC) collision prevention formula;
  • through their ability to recognise hazards and understand the defensive technique applicable, and act in time;
• apply the two-second rule;
• the split-second decision;
• use the four R’s to prevent a head-on collision.
• identify various prescription drugs and their potential side effects on driving.
• explain breath alcohol content and its effects on driving; and
• drive in emergencies and manage their vehicles out of dangerous zones to safety.
