This course is designed to help internal auditors develop the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively detect and investigate fraud within their organizations. Participants will learn how to identify and assess the risks of fraud, conduct investigations, and implement effective fraud prevention and detection programs. They will also learn how to work with other stakeholders, including management and legal counsel, to address fraudulent activity and minimize the impact of fraud on the organization.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the nature and impact of fraud on organizations
- Identify the common types of fraud and the risks associated with them
- Develop a fraud prevention and detection program
- Conduct fraud investigations using appropriate methodologies and tools
- Work with other stakeholders, including management and legal counsel, to address fraudulent activity
- Develop and implement effective fraud reporting and whistleblower programs.
