E-Learning provides self-paced learning accessible via the use of a variety of information and communication technologies (ICTs). Training delivery through E-learning platforms provide stimulus beyond traditional learning methodology from textbook, manual, or classroom-based instruction as they offer user-friendly solutions for satisfying training and education requirements. Instead of limiting learners to attending courses or reading printed manuals, they are able to acquire knowledge and skills through methods that are much more conducive to individual learning preferences. E-learning platforms also allow the delivery of training to a much wider and geographically disperse audience than may be possible through traditional classroom-based instruction, thereby allowing rapid scaling up of capacity building interventions. As organizations seek to expand locally and globally, cut down on costs and provide training to a wider number of staff, there is a need to utilize more appropriate training platforms. This workshop is designed preferably for those who have attended our basic e-learning for trainers? programme. It is designed to equip training practitioners with the practical knowledge, skills and tools needed to provide training through an e-learning platform.
