Can You Hear Me!? - Mental Health Awareness Series

We live in a society that barely believes in or value the importance of mental health, and sees mental health as only relevant when it gets so extreme, that one has to go to the psychiatric home for a cure. This is as sad as it gets. Our reality is characterized with a lot of positivity for sure, but with an equal amount of negativity, so much so, it becomes necessary to do whatever it takes to stay sane. Ironically, because of the underplay of the importance of mental health education, people have done it the wrong way.

Mental Health distortion can hit right about anyone, regardless of your status and can be seen in those reactions and behavioral patterns we display at home, work, school, places of worship, etc. We don’t need to wait until we begin to have those suicidal thoughts, we can start when it starts, and curb it before it hits. The month of May is Mental Health Awareness month, so we want to reach as much people as we can.

Objectives of Program:

Can you hear me (Mental Health Awareness Series) is designed to respond to that internal cry our minds and hearts make, but our outward appearance pretend not to know or struggle so much to hide, because it almost feels like a crime owning up to it. The vision of this seminar is to further create an awareness of mental health, teach on how to take charge of those negative thoughts, and convert them to something more fruitful. At the end of the seminar, participants will:

• Understand mental health in its simplest form.
• Gain powerful insights on how to manage their mental wellbeing, including managing triggers of depression, anxiety, etc.
• Be taught how to inculcate the habits of self-care and how to silence “those voices”.
• Receive guidelines on how to channel negative energies into creativity.
