“Hybrid” project management – a blended approach to agile and waterfall methodologies.

Agile and Waterfall are two different visions of project delivery methods. Agile is about iterative development and flexibility, while Waterfall requires careful planning, with predictable outcomes, making change management a challenge.  Organizations trying to use one or the other are coming to the realization that using principles of both approaches can be more beneficial than choosing a single approach.

This course will teach you about the evolution of project management methods and how “hybrid” methods have come into vogue as the most useful.  We'll cover the advantages and disadvantages of each method, and how to use those to analyze the best track for your project to take. We will also cover the elements and skills needed to deploy hybrid project management and some key examples/case studies by project type/industry.

Training Methodology

This course will be conducted physically and virtually simultaneously, with formal presentations and an interactive training manual. It will be delivered by seasoned trainers with vast experience in their respective fields of practice. The course is taught through a mix of practical activities, theories, group activities, and case studies. The session will be wrapped up by an industry expert to share practical experience related to the course topic, and a Q&A session with the participants.
