Workshop on Construction Management and Safety

Construction management is a professional discipline in construction planning, design, and process. Experienced construction managers (CMs) address owners' needs by providing management services and expertise tailored to the project, independent of the chosen contract format or project delivery method. CMs apply comprehensive project controls to help manage the critical issues of time, cost, scope, quality, and safety. They can help improve worker safety by integrating safety and health into all aspects of the construction process, from the design phase to job site management.

For the successful delivery of projects, Professional construction managers (CMs) must understand the managerial skills, in addition to their technical knowledge, that they need to have. Job site safety must be managed with the same degree of expertise and to the same standards as other core business activities because of the high cost of failure. 

This course will feature the importance and relevance of efficient and practical strategies necessary to achieve competency for professionals involved in construction management.
