The gender mainstreaming in human resource course provides HR professionals and managers with the tools to integrate equity and inclusion across all HR functions. This program focuses on identifying systemic barriers, addressing unconscious bias and promoting gender-responsive practices in recruitment, retention and leadership development.

Participants will explore inclusive performance systems, learn to conduct gender audits and implement gender action plans that support a diverse and equitable workplace culture.

This instructor-led training is available both physically and online and includes a Certificate of Completion for all participants.

Course Objectives

By the end of this gender mainstreaming in human resource training course, participants will be able to:

  • Analyzing workforce data disaggregated by gender and other variables
  • Understanding unconscious bias and structural barriers in HR
  • Setting gender-responsive HR benchmarks

Module 3: Inclusive Recruitment, Retention, and Advancement

  • Designing gender-neutral job descriptions and advertisements
  • Inclusive recruitment and selection practices
  • Gender-sensitive onboarding and workplace orientation
  • Strategies for retaining and advancing women and underrepresented groups
  • Addressing the gender leadership gap

Module 4: Equitable Compensation and Work-Life Policies

  • Gender pay gap: causes, analysis, and solutions
  • Designing transparent and fair compensation structures
  • Flexible work arrangements and parental leave policies
  • Anti-harassment and grievance mechanisms
  • Promoting mental health, safety, and well-being for all genders

Module 5: Inclusive Learning and Leadership Development

  • Integrating gender considerations in training and capacity-building
  • Inclusive performance management and appraisal systems
  • Building gender-responsive leadership pipelines
  • Mentorship and sponsorship programs for women and minority groups
  • Cultivating allyship and accountability in leadership

Module 6: Developing and Sustaining a Gender-Responsive HR Strategy

  • Creating and implementing gender action plans
  • Integrating gender goals into HR strategy and KPIs
  • Building a culture of inclusion: communication, feedback, and employee engagement
  • Monitoring and evaluation of inclusion efforts
  • Case studies and success stories from diverse organizations

Delivery Method

This program is taught through a mix of practical activities, theory, group work and case studies. Training manuals and additional reference materials are provided to the participants.
