Kano Govt. approves N14m to train 300 youths on Bee keepingPosted: 14 years ago |
The Kano State Government has approved N14.7 million for the training of 300 youths on modern bee keeping. The state Commissioner for Information, Dr Umar Jubril, announced this while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the State Executive Council meeting in Kano on Wednesday. Jubril said the council had also approved N105 million for the reconstruction and dualisation of link road to Ado Bayero Shopping Mall in the metropolis. He also said that the council approved N15 million counterpart contribution for implementation of Great Green Wall programme in the state. He said further that ``the council also approved N13 million for the sponsorship of 250 Kano State indigenes at Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo. According to him, the council approved N23 million for the participation of Kano State at the centenary edition of National Carnival 2013in Abuja. He reiterated government's determination to develop infrastructure in the state as part of efforts to improve the welfare of the people. (NAN) |
