What will be the impact of sinking borehole all over a community where there is no pipe borne water?

What will the impact of siting gas station within residential areas? In some area in Nigeria, you hardly can get a clean water from a borehole. Doing a quality environmental impact assessment will tell you why and the soil type and the necessity to get to a certain depth in a certain area to get clean water.
